It’s so important to add a watermark or logo to anything you make, it’s like adding a signature to your finished painting or sculpture. Yes, your voice should come through in all your work so people recognize it as yours - but you need to tell people it’s yours in the beginning so they can learn to identify you and your brand!

This trick is also important so people can find you quickly and easily when re-shared by social media oulets. You want to leave breadcrumbs so people can find their way back to you. Unfortunately we live in a digital age when anything and everything is easy to copy, duplicate, steal and repost. This adds an extra layer of protection to your work - but honestly there’s so many tools to remove watermarks this isn’t MY main goal with adding icons and watermarks, I do it for the brand recognition.
