Recap:

On this episode of HUSTLE + HONEY Today amber and I are talking to Dominique of soul agave. Dom is one of the best wedding and proposal planners in Phoenix, Arizona.  She specializes in unique and stylish custom wedding and proposal services.  We love her vibe, her attention to perfection and could chat with her for hours about the skills and systems necessary for scaling and running a business.  Hope you all learn buckets from the information we share today, and honestly we’re going to need a book club after we get through all the suggested reads from Dominique and all our other guests.

Oh and big announcement Meesh and I are hosting our all women’s wilderness retreat in May, So keep an eye for all those coming details if you’re interested in sharing space with like minded successful women & entrepreneurs in the wild.  We can not wait, but until then, here’s our conversation with dominique!

Today we talk with Dom about all things event planning, and get a little woo with Human Design and educated impulsiveness. Why employers in corporate america hate being called out for their lack of systems and efficiency. Creating our own paths as entrepreneurs. Taking all the skills and connections we’ve learned over the years and applying to our businesses and starting from scratch. We love the toxic trait that we believe we’re good at anything and everything.

Syncing business with women’s hormone cycle is normal and essential. We also talked about task managers and using lists and apps can keep us organized and on task even we allow ourselves to go off track. Find the system that works for you! We have suggestions for you - we’re not just telling you to find your own system, we found ones that work and we’re sharing what they are.

  • Record everything.

  • Make lists.

  • Digitize everything.

  • Duplicate the process as you on-board support team.

  • AI notetaking!!

  • Implement standard operating procedures.

  • If you’ve done it once - you’ve done it a thousand times, automate your shared knowledge.

  • Loom to record and catalog everything.

  • Create a naming system that makes sense (searchable).

  • Asana to task manage.

  • Scribe records and screen shots your knowledge sharing.
