Exposure

The biggest adjustment to your images is in your "exposure" you don't want it to be too dark or too bright. Other factors are white balance and straightening your crops.

Masking

My other favorite trick is masking and graduated filters I demo this in my tutorials on the blog.

HSL Color Panel

Skin tones can be very tricky with different races/ethnicities. To make people look like they do in real life; sometimes you have to adjust the reds and greens in an image!
