Frida Kahlo Inspired Self Portraits

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist from the early 1900s she lived a painful yet creative life. Her work shows her human experience and includes many of her pet monkeys as she could not have children of her own, along with symbols of plants and animals from her culture and location. You can still go to her home in Mexico, it’s now a museum. The casa azul - the blue house.

Born on the 6th of July 1907, her full name is Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón in Coyoacán, Mexico City, United Mexican States. She died 13th of July 1954 at the age of 47 in Coyoacán, Mexico City, Mexico.
