Sacred Play: Pashlee’s Witchy Photoshoot & the Power of Creative Sisterhood for Woven Ritual Book and Henna Project in Tempe, Arizona by Jennifer Lind Schutsky.

Photography is more than a means of documentation—it’s a portal for self-expression, healing, and empowerment. Pashlee’s witchy photoshoot in Tempe, Arizona was exactly that: an invitation to play, to embody something mystical, and to reconnect with the power of imagination. Dressed in flowing white with a handmade broom in hand, she stepped into a role that felt both ancient and liberating. This session was part of a larger vision for my Woven Ritual planner/book and henna project, but it also became a celebration of creative femininity.

When women gather with intention and curiosity, magic happens. Playing dress-up isn’t just for children—it’s a way to explore identity, tell new stories, and shed expectations. In front of the camera, we can embody softness, strength, mystery, and light all at once. There’s no pressure to perform—just space to feel, to move, to become.

Creative outlets like photography give us room to step outside of our daily roles and connect with a deeper part of ourselves. They remind us we’re still artists, dreamers, and wild souls. And when we create together, we mirror that power back to one another.

This is what sisterhood looks like: playful, powerful, and beautifully real.

This shoot also lead us to create the Wild Womxn Collective, styled and themed boudoir and body empowerment photoshoots.
