Retro Bikes and Boards Family Photos at Bowlero in Phoenix, AZ

This photo session was inspired by this epic architectural arch that I drove past one day while out and about in Phoenix. Thankfully, Bowlero kept the iconic retro red arch when they turned this historic building into a modern bowling alley!

When this family wanted creative family photos, I knew exactly the location to make their vintage bikes shine. Literally. We put them in full sun and the glare hit hard! We also incorporated the disco ball for full Arizona sun flares. This session was photographed mid morning in full sun around 10 am. I wanted a retro aesthetic with the vintage bikes and casual cool looks for mom and dad. The tube socks were a last minute addition thanks to mom’s fashion sense. Dad collects bikes and so we had a classic variety to choose from. These kids are so cool they also skateboard too. So of course, I snapped a few moments of the family riding their skateboards at the end of our session.

I will also add a disclaimer to say we weren’t actually riding these bikes around - so just know helmet safety is real and brain health matters! Wear your helmets when riding bikes friends. Anyway, enjoy the session and I hope it inspired you to photograph or be photographed somewhere a little unexpected with a dash of creativity.
