South Mountain Mother Daughter Family Photo Session | South Phoenix

I’m not sure how to define my creative style these days, I like to follow along with humans and capture the moments they’re being themselves, I also like to pose people into little scenes but I care more about the composition than their facial expressions. I often find myself capturing moments where people aren’t all looking at me, sometimes they’re smiling other times they’re not. It really doesn’t matter to me because we aren’t always smiling in real life, of course the idea of a photograph is to capture our best versions but who decides what is the best version of ourselves? the self worth documenting? I like to think it’s the photographer, the person who’s eye you hired, but maybe it’s not just up to me, hence why I tend to over shoot and often times over deliver. You might end up with 2-3 almost identical photos, it’s not by accident. It’s by design. I know which one I love more, but I’ll let you decide which one you think you look best in. I rarely duplicate the same image into a color and black and white version, usually it’s two almost identical photos and I decide which ones looks best in color and best without the distraction of colors. Just some ramblings inside the mind of the artist if you care.

Here’s a peek at a recent mother daughter photography session in the desert with nature and walking and sunlight and cacti, I played with all the elements and hope you enjoy looking at them. 💛
