Farewell Session for this Senior Cat's End of Life Family Photo Session

When this cat mom reached out about her cat’s older age and his limited time with his family of 19 years I knew we needed to get scheduled asap. End of life photo sessions are hard for obvious reasons and then logistical reasons, will the animal be around for when the scheduled session is actually taking place,? Is the family ready to be photographed for the last time with their furry family member? This can be especially hard on small children who aren’t sure why someone with a camera is in their home. And then, there’s also the concern that the animal might not want to be photographed either. We used all this cat'‘s favorite foods to get him up and around but even then he was unimpressed with my camera in his face. It seemed like every time I went to take his picture he’d turn or walk away. Thankfully we did a few great shots and I know how important these images will be for this family for many years to come now that their beloved cat has moved on from this physical realm.
