A Photographer’s Photo Journal of her Family Roadtrip in 2024

While I had every intention of sticking to Mexico only the Summer of 2020 for my children at the last minute told me that they wanted to go to Northern California to our favorite spot to camp at the Del Norte campgrounds in the redwoods. This is our favorite spot because it's in between the old growth forest and near the ocean. We sort of made it our routine to drive up from Southern California up to San Francisco and Petaluma to visit my husband's family and then to continue on north towards the northern California border. So this last minute road trip was a combination of camping driving and visiting family. On our way back home my mom rented us a hotel in Los Angeles which happened to be a very nice hotel that we should've stayed out longer but we stayed late in Northern California with a husband's family and ended up only checking into our hotel around midnight. Next time I definitely would stay at this hotel for a few days considering how epic the view and set up was. We ate at Grand Central Market in LA where everyone could get the exact meal they wanted before the drive home.
