Discovering Mykonos through Photographer Jennifer Lind Schutsky's Eye and Itinerary for 3 days in Mykonos
Mykonos is such a small island there is not a lot of places to tell you to explore. I will say it before we traveled here I told a few Instagram's this one, this one and this one.
We took a boat from Athens to Mykonos and I thought it would be a short boat ride but I think it was closer to five hours. Which none of us really prepared for. We did leave early morning from Athens and took the train/metro to the dock just outside of the city proper and transportation was super easy and reliable.
Once we arrived in Mykonos we check into our hotel and then decided to head down to the beach to see the area closest to our hotel he did require us to walk down a pretty steep pathway and all of the white stones are very slippery we stop at a nearby grocery store and stocked up on snacks and then headed to the beach. Once we got to the beach I realized there was a Laduree restaurant on the beachfront and I was so surprised! Since we weren't going to France on this trip I didn't think I was going to get any authentic macaroons but here we were on a small island in the middle of nowhere with fresh French pastries at our fingertips.
I sat out with my watercolor paintings and used to the salt water from the sea to create some paintings in my travel journal. Over the next three days we explore the island as best we could walking from one area to another and enjoyed all the food at this most delicious restaurant (scroll to the bottom to see the full course meal and entrees) with beautiful view of the water!
