When Hiring a Family Photographer, Here's What You Need To Know!

Here are some of my favorite family photographs and family photography below. For me family photography is about capturing the nice posed moments that everybody expects. The images that they wanna hang up in their house, or post a social media, or print out holiday cards that kind of thing AND in between all of those poses, there’s also really special moments and beautiful time that’s happening.

There are experiences happening between the kids the parents or the kids with the other kids or with the kids and the animals. Sometimes there’s a little bit of sibling rivalry. Or maybe just sibling angst and I want to capture that too.

These humans are only in this dynamic for so long compared to their entire life and so it’s important to me to capture a lot of of that!

When you’re hiring a Photographer, you want to find someone that’s really great at posing, really great at observing, noticing the interactions between each other and I would say that the most important part is finding a photographer who has cultivated the skill and art of noticing.
